Just thought I'd let you know.

I PASSED MY DRIVING TEST THIS MORNING!!!!!!!!!

After all of the MVA crap, I am now a provisionally licensed driver in the great state of Maryland!

Diabetes 365 - Day 94 Licensed!
(Today's Diabetes 365 picture, I'm on day 94.
You should stop by and see what we've all been up to!)

So if you are in the DC/Maryland area and happen to see a red Town & Country, a grey VW Beetle or a teal VW Beetle, WATCH OUT! I'm only kidding my mom says I'm actually a very good driver, and she is not just saying this because she's my mom. She stopped holding on to the side of her seat awhile ago!

Now all I need is that yellow Mini!

Congratulations!! I remember when I got my driver's license (though it seems like that was so long ago now). That's great, and should open many doors to opportunity down the road. Even though I now live in NYC, I still have my license (and a car), and couldn't imagine how life would be without it!

MVA crap is right,I feel your pain.I'm still experiencing sticker
shock with every DMV switch I go through.
STAY SAFE(and let the crazy drivers do whatever crazy thing they're going to do,which is pretty much a given in MD) ok,sorry if I sound too much like a parent..lol-have fun too!

Finally - yay Jillian! Now, drive carefully out there and stay off your cell phone while driving.

Thanks everybody, it has definitely been an exciting day! I'm glad you're able to celebrate a little for me too.

Scott, I'm very happy about this and can't wait to see all the places I will go... I can't imagine being without a car even in a city like NYC! Now I'll have to start saving so I can have one of my own.

Heidi, MVA is soooo annoying. The people there are also sometimes very rude. I'll stay safe and try to have a little fun. Maryland's licensing system helps to provide a bit of safety before the fun comes along. I have to wait 5 months to drive anyone under 18, so no friends in the car to distract me.

Colleen, driving with a cell phone with a provisional license starts your provisional status over. Which means I would have to start the time over for allowing having friends in the car and driving after midnight etc. I think it's something like 18 months of provisional status so no cell phone for me!

Congratulations, Jillian! I am so happy for you! I'll tell you what I still tell my kids when they leave, BE CAREFUL - meaning: watching out for all the crazy drivers out there. Okay, I'll take my mom hat off now. :)

Thanks for the welcome and the eyebrow commiseration! I tried to fill them in by putting mascara on the stubble...awful!

How fun! I'm happy for you. Be careful driving up there! Compared to down here, I think everyone drives crazy. LOL! Maybe it's just cause we're slower. And there are no places around me where there are so many lanes of traffic!
